The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Sunday announced a reduction in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), setting it at Rs214.19 per kilogram for September.
This marks a decrease of Rs1.18 per kg from last month’s rate of Rs215.37. Accordingly, the price of an 11.8kg domestic cylinder has been revised to Rs2,527.47, down by Rs13.89 compared to August.
Ogra noted that the adjustment reflects a 0.54 per cent decline, effective from September 1. The authority explained that LPG producer prices are linked with the Saudi Aramco-CP and the US dollar exchange rate. While the Aramco-CP remained unchanged, a 0.69pc drop in the average exchange rate led to the latest price cut.
